Lost your PAN or Form 16?

If you have lost your PAN card, you need to notify the police and get an FIR from your local police station. You also need to write a letter requesting the issue of a duplicate PAN card.

In case you are certain you have not got PAN card delivery, then don't do the above. In such a case, you need to fill a rectification form which is available for Rs 66 with the UTISIL branch or NSDL and attach the letter which contains your PAN number.

Visit the official Web sites of UTI Investor Services Ltd or National Securities Depository Limited to locate the centres. For a detailed FAQ on PAN, visit the FAQ page on the Income Tax website

It could take a minimum of about 25-40 days to receive the new card.
